MEANING: Coop’s wood carved Celtic Christian Cross with Katrina’s pyrography of the Celtic Knots of Harmony, Shamrocks dancing throughout and a Four Leaf Clover in the center to bring a little bit of Luck into the mix!

The circle woven around the vertical and horizontal members defines the Celtic Christian Cross.

The Harmony Knot is a variation of the original Triquetra Knot that represents the Christian Holy Trinity.  In the Harmony Knot, the outer ring has been adapted into the center trinity knot to weave the shape from one continuous line...the parts have become the whole…

The three-leafed shamrock is mainly an Irish Christian Symbol of the Holy Trinity.  Legend has it, St. Patrick used the shamrock to illustrate the Doctrine of the Trinity.  When you look at the Shamrock, there is the stem and then three leaves. God is the stem and the leaves represent the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The four-leaf clover is revered in Celtic myth for its vigorous growth. Each leaf symbolizes a different lucky characteristic: 1)Respect 2) Wealth, 3) Love 4) Health. If you wear a lucky clover, your sweetheart will come to you, if you possess one, no evil can harm you, and if you dream of one you will live happily for the rest of your days.

Irish Symbols of Harmony and Wholeness, the Holy Trinity, and just a little bit of Luck burned onto a Cross make this a wonderful gift for your favorite collector of Christian Crosses!

Please note, we don’t always have this on hand and one will probably be custom made for you. The wood burning will be slightly different from piece to piece but it will contain the major themes mentioned above.

Our Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings.  Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood.

The pictures you see here are stock photos. What you get will depend on what we have in stock. If there are no others in stock, the time to shipping will be increased. If you desire and request something (for example) dark, we will pull the darkest board we have, but it will not necessarily be as dark as (for example) walnut would be. Western Red Cedar is the species from which roofing shingles, decks, and gazeboes have traditionally been made. It is resistant to mold, moisture, and insects. The oiling process also helps to block out damaging UV rays of the sun, so our carvings can be hung outdoors. Please be aware, that even with the oiling, the carving will eventually gray out, as any cedar will, if it is placed in direct sunlight.

SIZE OF THE CARVINGS: The stock carvings are limited by the size of the board that starts the carving process. As the initial piece is 1 in. x 12 in., (in reality 3/4 in. x 11-3/4 in.) one side of the carving will be no greater then approximately 11-1/2 in.
